Genshin Impact is a F2p RPG game devloped by MiHoYo, which now goes by Hoyoverse after a rebranding. The game is a open world fantasy featuring a combat system using elemental magic and character switching. Genshin Impact also features a gatcha monetization system for players to obtain new characters to play with, or weapons for said characters. The game is online and must be played with a internet connection. Multiple player is possible to a limited degree, as four players can play in a single world with each other.
Genshin Impact Originally released world-wide on September 28, 2020 for PC, mobile, and playstation 4 with playability on Play Station 5 being made possible on November 11, same year. There is a plan for a Nintendo Switch version, but there hasn't been any updated news in regards to that since it's orginal announcment.
Orginally I wasn't interested in the game it was first announced. In fact, I was on board the hate train by zelda fans as it was "too similar" to their latest game at the time. Why did I do that? I don't fully know, I can barely remember the reason why.
Aside from that, it wasn't until 10/10/2020, 13 days after the game's world wide release is when I first created my account and started playing. It didn't last that long however, only around 2 days before I quickly became bored as I was unable to find side quests to level up my Adventure Rank (9 at the time) to continue doing the main plot of the game. It wasn't until some time next year on 06/03/2021 I continued playing thanks to my brother getting in the game himself and needing someone to help him with some later game stuff. Of course it took me a tad bit to catch up with him thanks to his help with some of the quests that allowed multiplayer and the daily commisions that you get everyday to earn special currency and experience points. Basically I wasn't really that into the game until way later on. Sadly I did miss out on some events that have taken place in my time away, and some items that don't seem to be obtainable in the current moment of writing this, but oh well.
For a good while, maybe around a month or two, I was playing genshin impact everyday day as I don't go to school or have a job (NEET) so I had a lot of free time on my hands. Anything to make my boredom go away will always be something I'll indulge in until I get burnout, which I did eventually get at some point.
Cut to now, I play on all the servers on my account as the servers do not cross information/saves with each other so I am able to play through the game 4 times on one account. I mostly try to keep any spending on my main America account, but I'll spend a little on the other 3 accounts time to time. I do pay for the battlepass for all the extra rewards and new profile banners. I do my best to play everyday, even if its just a little bit of farming for materials or artifacts here and there.
Genshin Impact features a nice roaster of characters you can pull for in the gatcha system. I have a few favourites, mostly of the male cast like Itto, Xiao, and Zhongli. But for me my top favourite has to be Childe, aka Tartaglia or his real name, Ajax. In the story of the game, Childe works for the fatui, a group from a nation called Snezhnaya (a region based off of russia). He is apart of the fatui's eleven harbingers. All in all in my words , hes kinda apart of the bad guys of the game.
I would go on about his role in the story but I don't want to spoil the experience too too much for people reading this thinking about playing the game and also I'm lazy.
I can copy and paste from the Genshin Wiki but I'mma be original and write this out myself in my own words and experiences with what I know about Tartalgia. Tartaglia is, from my point of view, is a good guy. Sure he works with the bad guys, but that doesn't completely make him bad. He cares deeply for his family and often exchanges letters with his siblings as he travels to do his work. tartaglia is a fun guy, he can be cheerful dude and somewhat playful as well.
However, Tartaglia is also one to craves the thrill of the fight. Honestly I'm sure he'll take up any chance to have a good fight as often as he can. He loves a good challenge, going as far as to use his weakest weapon, the bow, to fight with. Being a prideful man, he will take on any task and gets it done, even if they may go agaisnt his values as a person.
Before I really got into Genshin Impact, I didn't really know who Tartaglia was, which tbh you could apply that to most of the characters in the same way save from a select few I'll see in ads on youtube. When I first met him in game, I just viewed him as another character my MC meets, so I didn't think too much about him. As the Liyue quests progressed, I did slowly started to like him. He was a cool guy and all. It wasn't until near the end when he tried to collect Morax's genesis is when I changed my mind about him. In my defence I should have seen this coming, he is apart of the Fatui and all but still, I was angry at his behaviour.
It wasn't later when I did his character story quest I started to understand more about his character. Seeing this man have a soft spot for his family/younger sibling really got to me and watching him use his legacy form to fight those ruin guards woke something up in me, so has began my love-hate relationship. He's a menance, a bastard, but hes a cutie so he gets a small pass. I don't fully remember when I went full blown simp, maybe it was the x reader fics I read on tumblr, or the fanart I see him on twitter. But at some point I did get a dakimakura of him and now I sleep with Tartaglia everynight. When I can I'm going to get other dakimakuras of him and other neat merch of him cause I want to have a little IRL shrine to him.
